CPD Handa works out the three numbers for your next licence renewal: what your profession requires, what you have earned, and what you still owe. Answer five short questions to start.
If no install button appears, use the Chrome menu and choose Install app.
You can also use CPD Handa right here in your browser. Installing is optional.
Try the everyday name of your job, like Nurse, Teacher, or Accountant.
PRC renewal follows your birthday month: your Professional Identification Card renews in your birth month, on a three year cycle.
If you will add your certificates one by one in My Certificates, leave this at 0. Certificates you add are counted on top of this number.
No problem, and you are not alone: most people do not keep a running total. Choose this and CPD Handa counts for you. Add each certificate in My Certificates and your earned number builds itself from what you add.
Enter the units you did not submit at that time. They were not waived. In plain words, this app treats them as a balance to complete in the next cycle.
How to find out what you owe. If you signed a CPD undertaking at your last renewal, the units you did not submit then were not waived. In plain words from this app, they were deferred to the next cycle, not cancelled, and PRC records the undertaking against your licence. PRC acceptance of the undertaking was extended to 31 December 2026 (Resolution No. 2200, s. 2026).
1. Check the undertaking copy from your last renewal, if you kept it: the shortfall is usually written there.
2. Check your other renewal documents from that cycle for the same record.
3. If you have neither, ask at a PRC office or check your Professional Regulatory Board's guidance, because PRC holds the record against your licence.
Until you know, it is fine to choose "I am not sure" above. CPD Handa will plan with the minimum total and mark your numbers "at least", never pretending the balance is zero.
Tip: to keep CPD Handa on your home screen, open your browser menu and choose Add to Home screen. Your entries are saved on this device only. CPD Handa never asks for your PRC licence number.

This is the minimum. If you signed an undertaking, your true total is this plus the units you still owe from it.

Test build. Unit figures checked against PRC sources. Where official PRC documents disagree for a profession, this app plans to the higher figure and says so in that profession's note.
What counts toward renewal
Accredited CPD programmes count in full. These are programmes run by PRC-accredited providers, recorded in CPDAS, the system where accredited programmes and provider records live.
Self-directed learning counts too, but only up to a cap. In general, self-directed units count for at most 30 percent of your required units for the cycle. For Psychology, the board cap is 5 self-directed units per renewal cycle. Self-directed units above the cap do not count toward renewal. The cap is per Resolution No. 1197, s. 2019. PRC's current guidance (CPD and CPDAS FAQs, reviewed July 2026) still applies this 30 percent cap. The revised 2026 guidelines (Resolution No. 2165, s. 2026) set no cap of their own; if PRC changes the cap for 2027, this app will be corrected free.
About the undertaking, in plain words from this app: if you renewed by signing an undertaking, the units you had not yet earned were deferred to the next cycle. A deferral is not a waiver. PRC acceptance of the undertaking was extended to 31 December 2026 (Resolution No. 2200, s. 2026).
Newly licensed professionals: during the transition period, professionals in their first renewal cycle after getting their licence are not covered by the CPD requirement (PRC CPD FAQs, applying Resolution No. 2019-1146, Section 10.2). That is a transition period treatment, not a permanent exemption. Working overseas: during the transition period, professionals working overseas are not covered by the CPD requirement either, on proof of overseas work such as a valid Certificate of Employment or an Overseas Employment Certificate, under the same rule. That is also a transition period treatment, not a permanent exemption. Senior citizens: senior citizens are not exempt from CPD. PRC's tables carry reduced required figures by age for many professions (PRC CPD FAQs, Table 1). This app plans to the full figure, so if you are 60 or older, ask PRC or your board for your reduced figure; you may need fewer units than this app shows.
Units earned in a previous cycle do not carry into this one.
Your Professional Regulatory Board and PRC are the final word on what counts. If a unit matters to your renewal, confirm it with them.
Figures in this build were checked against PRC sources in November 2026. Where official PRC documents disagree for a profession, the app plans to the higher figure and says so in that profession's note on the Numbers screen.
LERIS and CPDAS, in plain words
LERIS is the PRC online system for licence transactions, including renewal applications and appointments.
CPDAS is the PRC system where accredited CPD programmes and provider records live. It is where a programme's units get recorded after you complete an accredited programme.
The plain order of steps at renewal time
1. Check your units and any undertaking balance.
2. Complete any missing units through accredited programmes.
3. Apply for renewal through LERIS in your birth month.
4. Claim your new Professional Identification Card.
This is general orientation only. CPD Handa is not the portal and is not a PRC service, and the steps can change, so check the current steps in the official systems before you act.
If anything here differs from the official systems, PRC and your Professional Regulatory Board win.
My catch-up plan
Accredited programmes are the safe units to chase first. Self-directed units can help, but they are capped, so plan to finish with accredited programmes where you can.
This plan uses the minimum total, because your undertaking balance is not sure yet. It covers your required units only. If you signed an undertaking, add the units you still owe from it to this plan once you know them.
My certificates
Keep an index of every programme you finish. The units are added to your Earned number automatically. This list lives on this device only. Keep the certificates themselves safe: this is an index, not storage.
Certificates added here are counted on top of the earned number from setup.

That is fine. The certificate is saved now and counted as 0 until you can check it, and it stays marked so you can find it again later.

This looks like a certificate you already saved. Save it again only if you really earned it twice.
Back up your records
Back up your records now and then. If your browser storage is cleared, only a backup file can bring them back.
